Keeping Safe and Healthy
As we head into the holiday season, please stay the course and continue to practice "healthy habits"- Drink plenty of water, wear weather influenced clothing, and washing your hands frequently. These are all great tips to keeping you, your family, and community upright and coming to school to everyday!
Rockstar Recognition Program
Great news our Rockstar Recognition Program is headlining our celebrations this month! Starting quarter 2 the RRP will be part of our "most excellent" learning experience here on the CC campus. It is simple.....BE PREPARED-POLITE-PRODUCTIVE-PROFESSIONAL ( THE 4 P's) on a daily basis and you can earn a weekly paycheck that you can spend in our Rockstar student store every two weeks. "Say what" yep a paycheck! Your teachers will share more details, be the person you were meant to be and remember it is good to be a Career Center Rockstar!
End of the Quarter Time Changes Everything....
Wow where has the time gone already! It is already the end of the first quarter. As we go into second quarter, remind yourself to take time for yourself and get outside for some fresh air! It is a beautiful time of the year to enjoy the beauty of nature. From the smell of the leaves falling to crisp breeze in the air on your face enjoy all the beauty that Fall has to offer!
Successful Blood Drive
Another successful blood drive in the books. We had a great turnout! We had 17 people come out and donate including staff and students! We had a few deferrals and collected 11 total units! This will save many lives! Thank you to St. Mary's Blood Mobile, staff, and to the Career Center for hosting it. A big thanks to the community, without you we couldn't make this happen!
Early Childcare Program Wins Big
Congratulations to ECP whose program had the most Panorama Survey Participation from students and their families! They will have a celebration on Wednesday October the 13th, with pizza and fun happenings! We also had a raffle to go along with our survey participation and our winner was Nevaeh Gallegos from Early Childcare. Way to go ECP students your team work is inspirational!
Construction Technology Program
What an accomplishment, the Construction Technology is heading toward the completion of the their 14th house! This house is built from the ground up from leveling the dirt, to concrete, to frame work, all the way to the fine toothbrush detail. Every student that passes through this class has a hands on experiment and adds a personal touch of their professionalism through out! Thanks to all the students, amazing teachers, and administration that make this a possibility for our program.
Companion Animal Care Program
Out in the community making a difference for our furry friends. The Companion Animal Care Program donated some festive cat scratch houses to C.L.A.W.S, Mesa County Animal Shelter, and Roice-Hurst Humane Society. Our kitty friends were so happy to have new scratch houses and a little extra attention and love from our students and in return our students got extra attention and love!
Valley Program
Awesome work by all the Valley students that hit their targets in learning! Growth is key.
Just a Reminder:
Make sure ParentVue is updated through the Home High School - this is the primary way we will be posting students' progress as well as the most direct way to email the teacher.
We encourage BOTH Students and Parents to check their email often for important information from Valley, Career Center Campus, the Home High Schools, and District 51.
Congratulation To September Students of The Month!
Way to go! Keep up all the great work!
